Beach Dreams is a locket I found that begged for filling up with something special.
 
When we travel anywhere near a body of water we spend a lot of time walking the beaches searching for whatever treasures the ocean leaves behind.
 
In this locket I put a piece of glass I found on a north shore beach in New Zealand and little shells I scooped up from a beach on Oahu. I added starfish and shell charms and some lovely teal beads to the mix to emulate water.  If I could have put sand from the beaches of Louisiana I would have done that too....sigh...
 
I added a piece of sari ribbon for some extra colour and hung it on an adjustable pink suede cord.
 
The locket holds pieces that are special to me and I hope when you wear it out on that perfecrt summer day that you'll be having beach dreams too.
