I love making jewelry from silverware. The patterns that can be found absolutely amaze me. The end results when incorporated into jewelry is always stunning. I try to find the name of the pattern of each piece I use and when it was first came into existence. Some times it takes me days to identify the pattern - some times I fail.
I've spent a couple of hours trying to identify this pattern and the closest I could come to it is 'Roberta' which came out in 1938. I've used this silverware pattern before and I think it must have been created sometime in the 1930's. If anyone can verify the name of this pattern I'd appreciate knowing.
'Roberta' is a sweet and simple pattern. I added a double strand of leather and filled them full of pandora-like beads with plenty of sparklies to satisfy those highly addicted to 'shiny' like I am! I also added a pink sparkly cabochon to the spoon handle for that little extra oomph!
Roberta is easy to put on. Just slide the leather loop over the hook on the silverware and then tighten the elephant slider (isn't he cute!)
Roberta is a gorgeous bracelet that fits wrist size 6½" - 7" .
Silverplate.
