Living on the dry prairies of the North American West I see a lot of horses. With their faces into the wind, they hang their heads out of the horse trailers as they are transported along the highways, just like dogs do! It always makes me smile as I imagine what they are thinking of - 'is this magic? Am I flying?'
 
Sometimes my hippie horses remind me of Eeyore, but they are my stylized version of the magestic creatures that they are.
 
Crafted from polymer clay I've made beads and spacers to match and interspersed them with circles of Howlite in turquoise. The silver-plated clasp reminds me of a cowboy's belt buckle!

Each piece I create is one of a kind. Why? I really dislike seeing someone else wearing a piece I had grown to love and think of as my own. Not only do I want my work to be original and unique but I like to make a statement with everything I wear including my accessories. In today's world women need to be strong and courageous and I like to think that wearing a one of a kind statement piece shows that we are just that.
